I believe Stephen Colbert need not worry about many comedy and commentary opportunities going forward. He has gained a lot of traction merely by being the punching bag for right wing media. His incisive wit and humor will find its way back onto the landscape still populated by the Daily Show and alumni like John Stewart. Now that Trevor Noah has also been in Trump's crosshairs, I wouldn't be surprised to see all of them doing collaborations in the future. Wouldn't that be great?! I kinda feel sorry for the humorless right wingers--they got nothing.
