NO KINGS 2.O
Huge success!
No Kings day 2.0, the call to action across the nation to make our grievances heard. In my little corner of the world, it was held in downtown Buffalo, located in Liberty Square and it was exquisite. It is somewhat interesting that the name is Liberty Square.
The temperature was just cool enough to allow people to leave the air conditioning. We were on a mission today and we got the job done! We made sure that our opposition was unable to ignore our roar!
They arrived with their signs. They arrived with their costumes. They arrived with their noisemakers. They arrived with the voice of the millions that understand the peril this country is in! They arrived as joyful warriors.
They showed up in droves. They showed up with passion and courage in their hearts. They showed up knowing they were on the right side of history.
They continued to show up. Moment by moment the crowd swelled. Every second that passed, another ten people flooded into the square. The giddy anticipation of being with a crowd of friends they never met face-to-face was just magnificent. It was fantastic!
Liberty Square was electric. Every new person that showed up was another line of the poetry that makes up this great republic. All ages and all colors were there.
All of us shouting the same message.
“Trump is a traitor!”
“No Trump, No KKK, No fascists USA!”
“WHAT DOES DEMOCRACY LOOK LIKE? THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!”
We marched and we sang, we announced our presence as one. We showed love and inclusion and care for our fellow citizens regardless of race, creed, color, or sexuality.
It was a beautiful moment. It is a moment that I will never forget. I was able to share the same message with the millions that showed up today across the country and around the globe.
We were there for the purpose of making sure that the government knows that we are angry. We are angry about the terrible policies set forth regarding healthcare, immigration, and unjustified aggression towards other countries, and much more.
It was also a shout to the federal government to get back to work. People's lives are at stake, and Republicans are big mad because they don't want to help people get their healthcare.
What a sadistic way they serve their constituents. It's our tax dollars that pay for all of these projects that are actively costing human lives. It is beyond cruel.
I just want to say that today I am a proud American. Not in the political aspect, but as a human being, as part of the millions that showed up and cared enough to sacrifice 2 hours of their Saturday.
We are on the right track, people, and I am so proud to be among you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The work is far from over. That said, we are an overwhelming majority, and we must continue to make that distinction more glaringly obvious every single day moving forward.
Continue to make your postcards. Continue to call your senators and congresspeople. Call out those individuals that are speaking lies and half-truths.
Hopefully one day the contrast will be so stark that these dirty politicians will realize that we are not going away. We will continue this mission and see it through to the end.
We will see the stars and stripes lifted again and feel a sense of pride instead of what MAGA has hijacked it for. We are the true Americans.
Let’s continue to make sure they never forget.
I love you guys.

We were at Orlando FL City Hall. There was a tremendous turnout. Costumes, signs (some vulgarity with the signs but they too have first amendment rights). It did my soul good to see so many folks turn out and speak truth to power. GBA
Huge crowd in Santa Rosa California-chanting, music, funny signs, noisemakers, innovative costumes, smiles and good vibes from all ages & walks of American life. Not one act of meanness or violence that I could see. Just ordinary folks showing up & making a statement.
