I swear on my parents’ graves I will not look away or tolerate anyone unfortunate enough to believe trump will save them. My parents worked hard, voted, fought in WWII, were wounded, came home and worked some more. They were in the right side of history and I refuse to let them and their teachings down.

I’m German and seeing more and more Americans being unable to write in their own language makes me despair about the future under USA as a leading economic power
You are not alone. There are sometimes weeks I am so drained I feel sick and exhausted. The worse is insomnia worrying about your family. Be it your adult children and grandchildren or your actual babies. Taking breaks has helped. All of you have helped. When one is down others have picked up the slack for

As a fellow empath I totally agree with you. I can’t understand the cruelty not only coming out of this administration but also from fellow Americans. Every new action from them is a stab in my heart. Where would this world be without people like us to counteract the evil?

I woke up this morning to accusations of being a "Commie" and posting anti-American things because I suggested that we make his entire presidency invalid so that we can wipe this scourge away en masse. I blocked them and went on my merry way, suggesting that IDGAF anymore. If you think I'm a commie because I want evil to be dismissed, then so be it, Comrade. Hahaha! Stay mad. It's what fuels me on the daily.
Erik, you always bring it home like a boss! These are exactly the kind of thoughts that occupy my mind lately. I find myself vacillating between suicidal and homicidal rage, white hot emotions and warm feelings, the desire to help and an overwhelming urge to say ‘Fuck It’ and go, not that I have the means to do that. These feelings of impotence, though, are the absolute worst. Wanting, even needing to do more or anything at all is at times a crushing weight, and it’s all aggravated by the feelings I have of standing alone in this shit. That is where you and so many of the Substack crew come in; when it gets to be too much I can find solace and comfort here…thank you 🥹
