It's the F***ing Guns!!

Another day in the United States where guns have more rights than women.

My heart breaks every time I hear of another mass shooting. Yesterday was no different. Especially because it involved children.

The kids that were struck by these weapons of war were between the ages of 8 and 16. All three of my children fall in that age range.

How the hell do the republicans who have had the opportunity to reform gun laws sleep at night? Have they become so callous to the brutality of children getting torn apart that they feel nothing?

Then the only thing they are willing to say is “we send thoughts and prayers”? Another good one is, “now is not the time to have political debate.” Whatever you say, you ghoul. You have been saying this crap for over a decade, and NOTHING has been done.

You “leaders” who vote in favor of keeping guns easily available have blood on your hands.

If I were in congress, I would immediately pass legislation to put a stop to these tragedies, if I were able. Of course that would be impossible because there are too many soulless monsters in congress right now, not to mention the other branches of our government, to succeed in passing such laws.

Instead they sit on their hands because it’s not their kids that are dying every day. They can somehow lay their heads on their pillows at night (that must be stuffed with cash from the NRA) and somehow are able to snooze.

These congresspeople that are against gun reform laws must not be human. They must have been spawned by vampires or zombies or some other horrific being. It is absolutely unbelievable to me that they can reason their way out of feeling responsible for these daily tragedies.

The most likely reason for the death of a child, and it has been for a while now, is a gunshot wound. Are you kidding me? This is something that can be changed with the stroke of a pen. Ask the victims’ parents what they think about having barely any guardrails when it comes to owning high-powered guns.

What would they say about your complete disdain for common sense gun laws? My guess is that it wouldn’t be a very nice response.

It absolutely disgusts me. And they claim to be the party for the right to life? I don't buy it for a second. They are domestic terrorists in my mind. They kill common sense laws, and they kill people indirectly by doing so.

What do I tell my kids?

Is it mental illness? Give me a break.

It’s because they are sexually confused? Bullshit!

Is it possible that just maybe it's too easy to access weapons of war? Hell yes, it is.

What would I say to my eight year old daughter if her classmate was blown to bits right in front of her? As a father, I really want to know.

I couldn’t even imagine the trauma of witnessing something like that, let alone seeing it at eight years old.

This brutality happens on a DAILY basis. And our politicians just push it away and say it’s mental illness. That is such a cop-out.

They KNOW they are lying through their teeth. Nobody holds their feet to the fire, though. They are so guarded by lobbying groups that somehow have convinced them not to vote in favor of such responsible reform.

It sickens me to my core. Guns are worshipped by people, and I don’t know why. They show them off like they somehow make you look tough. How tough would they look if they were holding the lifeless body of their child due to gunshot injuries?

I am so saddened by these events, and it's so preventable. I wish these lawmakers could realize the pain they have caused by their absolute complicity.

This has to stop!
