WE Are Enough
Reality check
I have noticed some people that have a much larger platform than me writing articles to the effect of, “Epstein is a distraction.” Or they are “flooding the zone with shit.” Or some other negatively charged write-up.
I am all about the facts, and I am always in favor of being transparent with my audience. Sometimes, in my humble opinion, writers do things just to fuel clicks. Don’t get me wrong, I admire many of these writers but when we fuel negativity no matter how well intentioned, it slows down and discourages people.
People who read these popular publications might be on the verge of stepping up. They might be on the verge doing something great. Instead they read an article that slows that momentum and I feel it could hurt our movement.
I don't think I'm alone in my thoughts. But at times, even the most well-intentioned of us may fall into the trap of trying to get subscribers instead of speaking from the heart. We all want to be successful in what we do, and I, for one, am no different. I will always be honest with you, if I come across as disingenuous please call me out.
At times like these it can be hard to know which way is up. Talking about these things like Epstein, illegal raids by ICE, war crimes, and violations of constitutional law. These things all warrant attention. We all have experienced some ill will from this administration. Some certainly far more than others.
My heart breaks for the people that have been victims of all of this hate and abuse everyday.
All of these things deserve to be recorded and talked about. We need to point out where the infection is every time so we can eventually remove this disease that we are fighting. We need to continue to call out every atrocity these monsters attempt to pull.
There are almost 400 million people living in this country. There are enough people in our country that are outraged by all of these terrible things 10 times over.
Dividing us will not work. Millions of people are in opposition to anything this regime does. We have every right to feel this righteous anger. We are still on the same side. And it can be assumed that whenever the GOP does anything, it can be assumed to be an act of aggression.
We can bring all of these issues together and fight as one. Every one of these issues, every atrocity, every broken law is just another deposit in the dumpster fire that used to be called the federal government.
So whether the issue that sparks your need to do something is like calling a senator, writing a postcard, protesting in the streets, or just talking to your neighbor. Every response is needed, if that is the thing that gets you to take action then it is the right thing to do. You have every right to feel the way you do. Your own government has betrayed you every day since January.
Your own government has launched illegal attacks on sovereign nations without cause nor did they have any business doing so.
Your own government is ripping healthcare away from 17 million people.
Your own government is covering up the fact that the president was involved with Jeffrey Epstein.
Your own government is illegally forcing tariffs on other nations that you will ultimately pay for.
Your own government is raiding cities without state approval. They are using military personnel, violating the posse comitatus act that was written into the U.S. legal code in 1878. I could go on.
The point is, you have every right to be distracted by the events of today and the last six months. What we do with those distractions is the important part. We don’t need one issue of the hundreds of illegal things this regime has done to focus on. We need to collectively reject anything this government does until we are guaranteed that they are working for us. Everything this regime does on a daily basis is illegal despite whatever legal acrobatics the Supreme Court might say or do.
All of this activity that is morally unacceptable is being paid for by us, the taxpayers. In a sense Donald Trump is personally reaching into your bank account, taking your money away in order to make your life worse.
His intentions were never good. Most of us knew that. We knew that before he took his first oath of office. We knew he didn't have the moral character or intelligence to handle the job as president.
When we gather, it doesn't matter what drove you to get out and protest. Your presence alone is enough. If you are a person that can see through the facade and bloviating that our “president” does on a daily basis, then you are on the right track and not necessarily distracted, you have realized that something must be done.
We need to put our preconceived notions aside. We must not assume everything will be okay if the president’s executive orders are ultimately found to be unconstitutional. He will not stop unless law enforcement does it’s job faithfully.
He has no guardrails that I know of. Worse yet, his enablers encourage him to do these awful things. Chances are, at this point he is not exactly sure what is going on. As long as he gets to sit at the big boy table and act like he is in charge then he will be happy.
The bad actor is not just Donald Trump; it goes through the entire nervous system of our government. Any top position in the cabinet, as far as I know, is in bed with that monster that calls himself a “very smart person.”
What I am trying to say through all of this is, whatever topic offends you (there are many), use it. We all stand under the banner of doing the right thing. Nothing our government has done since this past January has been the “right thing.” It is not just ignorance; it is wanton aggression towards the people who make up this beautiful country. We have every right to defend her even if a pedo president presides over it.
Our country was founded on (though not practiced for most of it) “A government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Not run by some wannabe authoritarian.
Love you guys,
Erik

I added a song to this post, it felt appropriate,

Saw a sign on a pickup that I thought was going to be pro Trump. I don’t know if it is or not but it said “When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty”.
I love your work.
I also feel we need a revolution.
A Jr. senator literally just publication said Abraham Lincoln was wrong and that the United States is a white Christian homeland. We are becoming Nazi Germany, it is happening and we must do something about it before it’s just too damn late if it’s not already.
