Thank you Erik. So kind of you to say wonderfully positive things about a man that did not deserve such cruel treatment. He deserves respect for the man he was. RIP. 💐 wasrespectmany

Wonderful eulogy. My favorite movie. I also love spinal tap and when harry met sally. Reiner truly was Gen X’s director

Erik, that was a moving tribute and so very welcome! Princess Bride is without a doubt one of my faves and may be one of the best in its class. I would like to give a nod to the inimitable Peter Falk as he really keeps the ball rolling. I have a shirt with a pic of Inigo Montoya saying “I do not think that word means what you think it means” that I wear all the time. So many quotable quotes, so much talent in Mr. Reiner and such a sad and untimely end. Thank you for the tribute 💖

Gladly, I used to have a plain black tee that just said "Inconceivable!"

Actually it was

Inconceivable!

I am struck by the pictures of Rob Reiner. His face has a look of peace and joy and love that contrasts shockingly with tRump’s ugly hateful contorted face. The difference in their lives is written on those faces.

What a sad excuse for a human being Donald tRump is.

I agree, one of my most favorite movies. Time to watch it again.

I absolutely love that movie. One of my favorites. For over 30 years I've been telling people it's a must see. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry (if you are into the depths of love it tries to (?word), and it will entertain you. Andre the Giant is awesome (I miss him).

Rob Reiner is an amazing person. Being a hippy during the days of Meathead was trendy, but still, he never stopped speaking truth to power.

Hey, Brother... I grew up with Archie Bunker and "Meathead", Rob's earliest standing acting role, excluding spots on a show here and there in the 60's.

All In The Family was a highly controversial show in the 70's due to racial tensions of the time and the racial connotations in the show.

"Meathead" was Polish to the dismay of the racist Archie. The new neighbors, George and Isabelle Jefferson and their son, Lionel are a Black family, more fuel to Archie's fire.

Towards the end of the shows long nine year run, after Archie's wife, Edith, passed, Ol' Archie softened up. Earlier, he had warmed up a little to "Meathead" (Michael Stivic) and to the Jeffersons including Lionel, though in all cases, he resisted showing it.

Anywho, Rob and Michele loved life, were very talented and active publicly (yet pretty much stayed out of the limelight) and were actually great parents. Other than the one son, Nick, who is the suspected killer, the children loved them. Nick portrayed, too, to love them, but following an alleged (witnessed) argument in which Nick was angry with Rob and Michele, they were found murdered. One of the children found them. Nick is the leading suspect.

They are a heavy loss to the film industry, and to the American Populace.

Yeah I have heard of his beginnings. They were certainly controversial, but his ability as a director was just outstanding, he truly was a special talent.

I "saw" his beginnings... LOL

Yes, his limited acting, though I liked his Michael Stivic "Meathead" role, his directorial talents were far better.

And, while he did get some benefit from his father, Carl's, career in show biz, he took it and ran with it.
