Resistance Has Begun
It took a little while but the resistance has begun. The Democratic values of this country are beginning to show. The people that are involved with fighting back like the team at Indivisible are showing what can be done and they are doing it well. Yesterday all 50 states had protests in front of their Capitol buildings and I couldn't be more excited about it. This is what we need to continue to do in order to fight this illegal regime and force change in our government. What we are experiencing is a coup in it is undeniable.
The people of the United States did not ask for this situation. The people of the middle class did not earn or deserve this type of treatment. We are the United States of America and I think we are starting to show that we are the United States emphasis on United.
I learned this morning that the Democrats in the Senate pulled a full night filibuster against the nomination of Russell Vought for Head of office of budget and management known aka OBM. He's one of the authors of project 2025. I believe it's now called America first. He has no intention of allowing for a diverse religiously free country. The only thing he is interested in is forcing Christian nationalism which is cause for massive concern. He, along with his white nationalist friends want to see this country become strictly a Christian based autocracy. It is vital that he stays out of office because he does not have the interests of the average American. In in mind. He wants to force the people of America to see his way and his Bible forced into every aspect of our life which stands in direct conflict with other Constitution of the United States.
We need to continue to see this type of fight from our Democratic leaders and hopefully some Republicans will also get on board when they see the writing on the wall that what's going on is a complete ransacking of our government. This needs to stop and we need to start from the top beginning with the impeachment of Donald Trump and deporting Elon Musk.
For us we need to continue to protest. We need to continue to write postcards. We need to continue to call our senators and our house reps. We need to continue to gather as a people on conference calls, on zoom calls in addition to any other grassroots organizing.
Yesterday I was so very proud to see so many people coming out to protest. We as a people are the ones in power and there are more of us than there are of them.
If you enjoy what I've been writing please just drop a like or subscribe. It lets me know whether or not I am getting through to anybody and if I should continue to write these articles. Thank you.
