Tonight on one of our Canadian national news programs, I watched the story of a Quebec man who was fishing in Canadian waters. The US coast guard approached him and told him they were detaining him for fishing in US waters. When he tried to return to shore, they cut him off, capsizing his boat, almost drowning him, and took him and handed him over to US border guards where they detained him. This is crazy stuff. They entered Canadian waters, but of course, denied it. What is happening down there? MAGA’s dear leader, Kim Jong trump, is off his meds or something!
So descriptive of the horror you feel. I think there will be more us that find there way to your place. And, I believe that something dramatic will happen. If white people don’t understand that we are next, they have stuck their heads in the proverbial sand. Those of us who write and call their representatives, those of us who protest, those of us who are acting out and chattering about what a rotten government we suffer, and those like me whose conversations about the need for change now are thinly veiled words of someone who is at the end of their rope.
I hear you. Because they have no real idea what they are about to lose. Unfortunately, there will come a time when it touches them personally - like in LA or Texas. Let's hope it won't be too late. Let's hope they will rise then. In the meantime, all we can do is keep spreading the word. Never stop trying to reach/teach the uninformed.
One day strikes don't do anything. The corporations that run this country specialize in war where they're starving out the The Palestinians or starving out people in South America. They're built to outlast us by months. And frankly at this point they're using the protests as surveillance. The more people out protesting and less people doing the real work that needs to be done --which is structural reformation independent of anything the government can use to control. And the cool thing is is if we do that we create a life raft through no matter what ends up happening even if it ends up in bloody revolution. The path through this has been given to us by the people who've been surviving this shit for 400 years.. ask me how I know.
If you read my article on the upstream Alliance that is not what I'm advocating for. And realistically, it may come to that and we all have to accept that. The government is not going to save us. In the instances where non-violence has toppled regimes it was because there were people in power to help and we don't have that now. And nonviolence has rarely solely solved the problem. I'm offering the life raft through no matter what happens. That's what Upstream Alliance. Upstream Alliance sees us through the best possible outcomes and the worst possible outcomes That's what I'm advocating here for.
The best way out is what I've outlined. We've seen the Black Panther Party use this model so effectively that the leader had to be assassinated by the government.. 21-year-old man that was the leader of the model that I've built the upstream Alliance on, had to be assassinated by the government because it was that dangerous of an idea.. And through that model Black Panther Party and the Rainbow Coalition fed 20,000 families a day breakfast. Out of seemingly nothing.
The best way through this is to remove any controls the government can have. And we need to understand that we're going to sacrifice a lot in this. We may not have electricity. We may not have running water or food at the stores. We may not have internet.. But how much do we want to keep being complicit in the system? I know through the policies that they're going to enact, I'm going to die on this hill. I have risked everything and lost everything and I'll keep doing it because it isn't about us anymore. It's about the bigger picture and it's about the future generations and this planet. Preserving all of that.
This has to be a labor of love, not of ego. Love is revolution and that is exactly what Upstream Alliance is. It is faithful to its Black Panther model, just modernized and my list is merely a jump off point. It's just to paint the picture of what's needed everything we have in society now we need to create on our own. And we can do this.
Frankly this is what Black folks are waiting on. They're waiting on us to go from performative to effective as a collective.. Once we start rebuilding these things independent of the government, They can't use anything to bring us into compliance and obedience. We take the lead out of the gun. And the coolest part is is high likelihood you could do something you enjoy for the revolution. And the best[est]part is the more people that start doing this the more people can separate themselves from the corporateaucracy too and sustain it. For example, right now I can't do all the disconnection I want to do from the corporate autocracy because there's no support systems yet..

With the rump encouraging Texas to have their voting districts redrawn, it would now appear that the rump’s newest target is our voting rights. It really was a matter of time. Remember that he said if he were elected we’d never have to vote again. What is so scary is that the MAGA crowd, both men and women, are okay with that. If this is a patriarchal society, hell yes, those men need to dust the star dust out of their eyes before it’s too late. If the rump is (God forbid) successful those men are in for a hard wake up.

The area I live in is like leaving to Beaver houses almost cookie cut about a quarter acre each spread throughout the whole neighborhood but where I used to live or used to have own my home I had 4 acres and everybody around me had about 4 acres and it was zoned agricultural even though nobody really has any fun animals . there was one person around the corner that did have chickens and then when we realize he did not need a rooster things got a lot better. A couple of us in the neighborhood got into a sport that we enjoyed about once a month we would go to the shooting range. It was indoor so we were able to go year-round. I do enjoy outside range, but it gets interrupted by weather too hot in the summer too cold in the winter. we get together but once a month go to the Range shoot off a box of ammo and talk about different kinds of weapons, different kinds of bullets where like a bowling league. there’s one gentleman that’s older than me makes him about 80 and he’s an enthusiast knows a lot about what he owns. he’s born in bread in America, but upset like all of us over the goings on of the Republicans, the mega the ice and the Trump’s. he claims protection for our neighbors who may not be so American however, very pleasant neighborhood don’t have very much in the way of crime. The last thing I can remember, is somebody getting upset because one neighbor was sleeping with his wife and he did not like that. they got into a fight. They took it to the front lawn, and the police were called and everybody went to the police station to straighten it out. it was a bit upsetting because we realized a bunch of them all had weapons, but nobody went to the guns. Nobody thought of that. That would be the last thing that would fit their minds. however, a couple of months ago went and elderly gentlemen had to be about 7580 years old made the statement that if in fact, ice came to his neighborhood and was bothering his neighbor, he was going to be buried because he was going to defend his neighbor with his weapons because they belong someplace else, the ice people don’t belong in this area at all… he took it a step further with his son-in-law, which was younger than him by about 20 years or so may be in the area of 4550 years old and they would sit on the porch cleaning the weapons like every week wondering what’s going on they said if I did show up at one of our neighbors he was going to take action and chased them away if it took chasing them away with noise meaning weapons he had no problem sacrificing himself for that cause I told him he’s way outnumbered what is it going to do? What success Mikey have what’s he going to do to help the situation wouldn’t need me better off sitting in making phone calls all day long. he agreed so now he’s gotten another phone and he sits and he makes phone calls and write letters and postcards pretty much all day long. It’s a regular little operation now there’s about four of them sitting there have their paperwork out postcards sending out to all of the people that should be receiving people nature republican Democrats doesn’t matter. They’re all getting a postcard and a letter only problem that I have with the situation is the four of them do have their rifles at the Reading why I say why do you have these rifles out? They said you never know you never know what’s gonna happen I said yes, but you’d have plenty of time to deal with it because you’re not in the military, you’re not a policeman if you see a problem get on the phone and call and insist that’s somebody comes and clears up the problem. good thing once again, they followed my advice. They put away their weapons, writing their postcards the writing the letters that make their phone calls. Now they’ve taken to like either of them sitting there doing this. This goes on now twice a week get together by the cards write the letters it’s doing something.
So now there was eight of them getting together twice a week to write card letters talk have coffee and argue different politics how to enjoy the problems what’s gonna come up at all? We all agree but making phone calls and writing cards and letters is helpful. we of course make donations as we could and things like that. there’s at least two of them that swear that if in fact, they were a visit by one of our neighbors, meaning someone that looks different than us as a problem with ice showing up with their door, there’s going to be a big problem in the neighborhood because they will defend the neighbor. It would be best for ice if they just moved on and went someplace else like another country would be a good idea..
these two gentlemen are serious in their thoughts most likely they will both pass away people there was a problem, but if not, then they gonna be a problem. We shall see if it makes the newspapers. I don’t think so because they’re not looking for trouble.

Too many people I know including younger folks are still buying from Amazon… bc it’s convenient. They have no desire to sacrifice a minute of their time and convenience for any greater good. It makes me sick, getting them to strike would be a monumental task… our kids are very spoiled and entitled
Maybe they don’t know about those places and we need tell them or remind them instead of getting mad at them and shutting them out. Aren’t they worth talking to and finding out if they’re just not informed or if they’re knowingly ignoring the things going on around us?

Definitely, some people are just too busy to step outside of their bubbles - too many people just don't have a clue that they are losing their democracy and their civil rights. We should try to prepare them for the inevitable.
