Keep Steady
Hello everyone, it's Friday afternoon and I'm just trying to make sense of this world around us. I feel like we're being pulled in a million different directions. Meanwhile, the people who have all the money are not doing anything except try to hurt us and I find myself in a state of constant panic and despair.
I've been reading a lot of articles from different substack writers and they've been very encouraging and helpful. It's not all doom and gloom.
I'm not giving up hope, that's not what I'm writing this post for. Mainly, I'm trying to say that things are going to take time and we need to stay steady while we wait. Whether things go bad or they turn out for the best, we are just at the beginning of this Four years is a long time. If Mr. Trump makes it that long for that length of time. I don't know if that will be the case because, as we all know he is almost 80 years old and he does not look very healthy.
That being said, you know we're going to have wins and we're going to have losses and that's just going to be part of the the unfortunate swing back and forth of the pendulum of life and politics. Bad things are going to happen and good things are going to happen and we're just going to have to pick ourselves up. There are going to be times when we want to stay down and ignore what's happening and disconnect. We have to pick ourselves up when things go wrong and then move on to fight another day. We cannot give up on our democracy.
I want everybody to be happy and equal and not feel lesser than. I think everybody deserves to have the right to a warm home, food, security, and medical accessibility. All these things should be basic human rights. Nobody should be left out in the cold. Nobody should have to deal with illnesses without medical treatment and none of us should have to starve. These needs can be met worldwide if the greedy people at the top would actually grow the ability to feel empathy .There are people that go without these basic necessities daily. Whether it's here in the states or around the world. We live in a very unequal society worldwide. However here in the US we have a gap between the poor and the wealthy that is monumentally huge.
We are all in a state of of being misled and controlled by oligarchs. People who have way too much money that most times is not even taxed. It's so blatantly unequal and not cohesive with the way life should be for everybody.
So that's my ramble for today. I love you all and here's to better days. Try not to lose hope. We are all in this together.
Erik

Those are all good words we need to hear daily. Those of us who are willing to fight need to stay banded together to be the change.
