A 10,000 Foot View
We are not just spinning our wheels. The Press and the fascists only want you to think that.
I have to say that being too close to a project can be detrimental. When I am working on a drawing or a painting, I notice every single imperfection. I may see those minute details, but someone who is looking at it for the first or even the tenth time may never even see them.
I am realizing that those of us who are heavily involved in the resistance may be doing something similar. I am not suggesting that we take our foot off the gas, but it may be worth taking a look from a 10,000-foot view.
When it (yes, it) was elected for the second time, I found myself feeling the despair that many of you probably felt too. This sense of dread that, this time around, things were going to be much worse.
By any reasonable measure, they are. Lots of evil has happened since he returned. I don't think we need to rehash the unbelievably despicable behavior coming from Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court since he returned.
But what I have found is that rising from this chaos appears to be a movement that continues to grow and become stronger each day. We have seen amazing acts of bravery like those of Major Watson, who stood at the steps of the Capitol and demanded that DT and his Cabinet be brought to justice.
His reasoning was simple: the actions of the current administration are illegal, and impeachable offenses have been committed. His focus was specifically on the Constitution and what the words in the document actually say. Not some convoluted reinterpretation of what the founders meant.
It's as plain as day. The president breaks the law; impeachment must take place.
Not just that act, but the courage of millions coming out and protesting. People have come out in droves and still continue to do so.
The brave acts of priests, doctors, retail workers, lawyers, Substack writers, actors, and clear-eyed politicians. They have been willing to go out into the freezing cold in Minnesota and the scorching heat of Arizona to stand up for what is right.
Some even paid with their lives and continue to do so. Something tells me that had they been faced with the situation again, they wouldn't change a thing. Those who lost their lives in this are true heroes, and they should never be forgotten.
Their bravery was boundless. They showed a strength that was beyond that of any of the cowards who sit at the top of our government combined. They showed a bravery that makes me wonder: if I were in the same situation, would I have been strong enough to stand my ground, knowing I was standing for justice and the moral correctness of my actions?
Would I stand in the way of danger? Despite the consequences?
I think I would, and I think every right-minded red-blooded person would do the same.
These actions are not just for us but for our families. The things we do today will echo into the future. There will be a ripple effect that will continue to spread beyond our days. Your resistance, your bravery and your actions today will be looked upon as a template for people in the future.
We also have to remember that many, many lawsuits have been brought by the DOJ to try and interfere with our right to vote. People like Mark Elias and his law firm have been defeating lawsuit after lawsuit brought by the government to interfere with our voting rights.
Sometimes it feels like it's all just so overwhelming and nothing will change. But looking from a big-picture perspective tells me that we have frustrated the regime at almost every turn. Yes, we have had our fair share of disappointments. But we have won more than we have lost.
The midterms look like they are going to be a blowout. Every race that is of consequence shows a major change in direction since it took office again. The polls for DT are in free fall, and they don't appear to be getting any better.
I know polls are not everything, but they can at least give a sense of the mood in this country. And the people are sick of this stupid war; we are sick of being sick because of the trashing of the CDC. We are sick of paying almost double for gas and paying a small fortune for a bag of groceries.
These complaints are not just coming from us fringe lunatic leftists communist marxists. This is also coming from the voters who have voted for it three times. People are fed up.
Now the administration has no answers as to how we get out of Iran. They humiliate themselves daily. They run away from reporters.
Meanwhile, it escapes in a catering truck and flies out of Turkey on a different plane while leaving the press on Air Force One like sitting ducks.
The regime is eating itself like fascist regimes have done in the past. It is yelling at Hegseth about the missile shortage. Pam Bondi was fired, as well as Kristi Noem. Bills are not getting passed. Pressure is on the DOJ to unredact more of the Epstein files, as well as the humiliating behavior of our “president.”
I know that sometimes it feels like we are treading water and haven't accomplished enough, but we have organized and shown that we will not just roll over and let this country fail.
It is because of you and all of the good people out there that still believe that justice is coming, and I, for one, am here for it.
Love you, guys.
Erik

We need all the good news we can take.
Ty Liberaldad. You are right , we need to fight for the future. The present is filled with uncertainty.
We have suffered many losses, but when we fight we gain a little bit of those losses back. We must resist and gain back more to ensure the future. Our children and grandchildren deserve a future to look forward to.💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💙
